Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – DEMEC’s Joint Lineworker Training Yard

DEMEC was honored to be joined by our member communities and local, state, and federal partners as we 🥳celebrated our Joint Lineworker Training Yard Ribbon 🎀 Cutting ✂️last week. As our kickoff to #PublicPowerWeek, DEMEC shared the plans for a 5-acre multi-phased training facility that will assist local utility lineworkers as they progress through apprentice and journeyman certification. Rep. Bill Bush spoke of the workforce development opportunity this brings to Delaware during his keynote. DEMEC’s President and CEO Kimberly Schlichting shared the safety benefits and continuity this provides our member utilities and their lineworkers to ensure they make it home safely each day and are ready to work together as a team 👍 in a time of crisis.
