New Director of Beasley Plant Operations and Compliance
DEMEC is pleased to announce that Stephan Siok has joined our team as the Director of Beasley Plant Operations and Compliance. Mr. Siok comes to us from NRG Energy Center Dover with over 20 years of experience in the field.
Kimberly Schlichting, Sr. Vice President of Operations and Power Supply said of Mr. Siok’s hire, “Having served as Beasley’s Plant Manager, Steve was a natural fit for this position. His years of experience with utility operations brings great value to DEMEC. I know that the Beasley Power Station will be in good hands as he oversees its daily operations and numerous compliance reporting requirements.”
In addition to oversite of everyday plant operations, Mr. Siok will have the important responsibility of managing all local, state, and federal compliance requirements and reporting for the Beasley Power Station. His supervision of plant operations and maintenance will further DEMEC’s goal to maximize plant contribution to margin and minimize congestion-related costs to members.
The Beasley Power Station is a 100MW natural gas peaking facility that supplies power to seven of DEMEC’s member communities. In an effort to reduce member’s reliance on the wholesale power market, the Beasley Power Station provides long-term power supply. In his role as Director, Mr. Siok will ensure that the facility remain a valuable resource both to DEMEC’s member communities and the state of Delaware.
