DEMEC Receives Recognition For 35 Years of Service
Wednesday, April 30, 2014, the Office of the Governor issued a proclamation in Observance of Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation Day and urged all Delawareans to do their share this week and throughout the year to help combat air pollution. Earlier in the day the State Legislature approved a resolution recognizing and congratulating the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation for its 35 years of extraordinary service to the public power municipalities of Delaware and the more than 126,000 Delaware electric users they so effectively serve.
The Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation (DEMEC), represents more than more than 126,000 residential, commercial and industrial user in the cities and towns of Newark, New Castle, Middletown, Smyrna, Clayton, Dover, Milford, Seaford and Lewes.
