Delaware Public Service Commission Tours DEMEC’s Beasley Power Station

It was great hosting the Delaware Public Service Commission on a tour of DEMEC’s 100 megawatt Beasley Power Station and 1.5 megawatt Smyrna Solar Facility to explain how DEMEC brings savings and reliability to our members, their customers, and the state of Delaware. As a peaking plant, Beasley operates when there is a high demand on the electric grid to ensure that there is enough power for homes and businesses. Through economic investments in self supply assets like these two generation facilities, DEMEC is able to provide reliable and responsible energy.
