DEMEC Member Visit – Town of Clayton
DEMEC continued our Member Visit Series with a visit to the Town of Clayton. Vice Mayor Ryan Paisley, Councilwoman Mary DeBenedictis, Town Manager Rob Cote and others shared the rich history, future plans, and unique characteristics of the town. Established in 1887, Clayton was an significant economic driver for the state due to its proximity to the railroad. Staff visited one of only two military academies in Delaware, which is located on the site of a historic trade school. DEMEC was honored to receive a proclamation from Town Council declaring Dec. 6th “DEMEC Appreciation Day”.
