DEMEC Hosts Financial Assessment Workshop
DEMEC member finance and accounting staff came together for a day-long workshop on understanding financial statements offered by popular presenter Dawn Lund, with Utility Financial Solutions LLC. During the training, participants reviewed the key components of utility financial statements, explored important financial targets and policies, and discussed how financial planning supports long-term success. Attendees also learned how to assess their utility’s financial position and use financial information to help guide strategic decisions within their community.
