DEMEC Hosts Digger Derrick and Aerial Device Training
DEMEC recently hosted a Digger Derrick and Aerial Device Training at the Joint Lineworker Training Yard. 11 students from 5 member communities reviewed pre-operational inspections, set up & leveling of units, load spotting & handling, setting poles, and bucket hurt-man & self rescue. The training also utilized students’ new skills to permanently set a row of 5 new poles in the climbing area that will be easier for new climbers to test their skills.
Thank you to the Town of Smyrna line crew for moving the poles from their previous location to the training yard ahead of this course.
