2026 Light Up Navajo Volunteers Meet!

Line crew members from the City of Milford, & the City of Seaford met to discuss logistics and expectations for their upcoming mutual aid initiative in the Navajo Nation for Light Up Navajo VII. Previous volunteers & DEMEC staff shared best practices, lessons learned, and testimonials from previous experiences since 2019. DEMEC President & CEO, Kimberly Schlichting, shared about the Navajo culture, the heart behind this ongoing project, and why she and DEMEC have remained involved from the start.
