Governor Markell Proclaims April 29, 2015 Delaware Municipal Electric Day
DEMEC is proud to announce that April 29, 2015 was proclaimed Delaware Municipal Electric Day by the Office of the Governor. Governor Markell signed the proclamation at Legislative Hall with Representative William Carson, Senator Brian Bushweller, DEMEC’s President Patrick McCullar and Vice President Kimberly Schlichting present, as well as members of the DEMEC Board of Directors.
DEMEC has efficiently, and reliably, supplied all of the electric power demand of 8 of its 9 public municipalities. In addition to DEMEC’s primary mission of supplying reliable public power to over 126,000 Delaware citizens, DEMEC also provides our members with legal and technical assistance with regional and national regulatory bodies, training programs, economic and customer development, capital financing, and energy efficiency programs.
