Governor Markell Proclaims April 13, 2016 Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation Day

April 13, 2016 was proclaimed Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation Day by the Office of the Governor. Governor Markell signed the proclamation at Legislative Hall with DEMEC’s President  & CEO Patrick McCullar and Senior Vice President Kimberly Schlichting present, as well as Scott Koenig and Harry Maloney from the City of Dover, Dave Swayze, DEMEC General Counsel and DEMEC Lobbyist Bob Maxwell.

DEMEC has efficiently, and reliably, supplied all of the electric power demand of 8 of its 9 public municipalities. In addition to DEMEC’s primary mission of supplying reliable public power to over 129,000 Delaware citizens, DEMEC also provides our members with legal and technical assistance with regional and national regulatory bodies, training programs, economic and customer development, capital financing, and energy efficiency programs.
