DEMEC Hosts Junior Achievement Job Shadow Program

DEMEC hosted students from Dover High School in May and students from William Penn and Caesar Rodney High School in October through Junior Achievement of Delaware’s Job Shadow Program. The purpose of the program is to prepare students for work readiness, open their eyes to potential career paths, and grow their understanding of the workplace. DEMEC provided an overview of company operations, the electric utility industry, preparing for the workforce, what is involved in being a lineman, and what it takes to run a 100 MW power plant.
