The continued goal and mission of DEMEC is to advance the principles of public power community ownership and provide competitive, reliable energy supply and services to our member’s stakeholders and customers. DEMEC is able to accomplish its mission through active representation and participation in regional and federal arenas. DEMEC reaches an agreement with Bluewater Wind Delaware, LLC for the supply of electricity, associated capacity, and related environmental attributes (also called Renewable Energy Credits) to DEMEC for 20 years.  The contract is the first in the nation to provide for the purchase and delivery of energy from an offshore wind park and is valued between $200 million and $300 million over the life of the contract. 05/02/2007
